Cuticle Treatments

I never realized how important cuticle oil is to maintain nice nails. I used to apply it once in a while and wonder why I always had dry cuticles and hang nails. Now after falling head first into the Indie polish world I have discovered that cuticle oil should be used daily or multiple times daily. I’m averaging twice a day now thanks to these awesome roller ball cuticle oils from Black Dahlia Lacquer. These are a generous size for a great price so it’s easy to keep them in the car, in my purse and at my desk. I usually apply as I start my morning commute and again for the evening commute. That gives it 40 minutes to soak in before I wash my hands. Cuter Cuticles also sells a rollerball cuticle oil too which is quite nice as well. I just think I like the glass bottle better for some reason. Black Dahlia is 10ml for $6.50 and Cuter Cuticles is $5.00 for a slightly smaller bottle. Cuter Cuticles comes in TONS of delicious fragrances.

Speaking of hand washing…ugh I wash my hands A LOT due to having a senior pet who is physically disabled. Someone turned me on to this decadent cuticle barrier butter from Cuter Cuticles. It’s pretty self explanatory…it’s a barrier! So it doesn’t wash off as easily as other cuticle products. I love it..so creamy and it smells amazing. It’s $5.00 for this huge container. By comparison the Burt’s Bees Lemon cuticle cream is $5.99 for a much smaller container. I saw it recommended by a popular nail blogger but it’s my least favorite product. I love the Indie stuff much better.
